Job Description

Job Title: Pathways Worker
Salary: SO2 26,067 (pro rata)
Hours: 21 per week
Location: Based in Lewisham
Reports to: Director

Project outline

The purpose of the Volunteering Pathways to Employment Project is to provide people living in Lewisham with real employment prospects through a 6 month programme of skills development and work experience through volunteer placements.

Key Responsibilities:

To identify 40 people per year to commit to the Volunteering Pathways to Employment Programme.

To carry out individual assessments setting Personal Development Plans (PDA)s according to skills and interests providing guidance and goal setting sessions on a one- to- one basis with participants.

To identify suitable 6 month volunteering roles within Lewisham and support participants into these roles.

To provide individual ongoing support to providing a range of employment training and support ensuring that they continue to progress and that any barriers are overcome.

To organize a package of training to be available to participants as part of their programme of development.

To identify joint working opportunities with similar projects in the borough.

To develop effective working relationships with a wide range of external agencies who provide training and/or employment help for individuals to achieve their development goals i.e, local colleges, training providers, employment agencies etc.

To keep accurate and complete records on a daily basis of all casework undertaken and provide the necessary monitoring information to the Project Manager as required.
