Valuing Volunteers in Lewisham Awards

 Do you volunteer in an organisation, group or club in Lewisham?
Do you think that they deserve an award for their work with volunteers?
We often hear about the wonderful things that volunteers in Lewisham do to benefit their communities, and we recognise these valued individuals every year during Volunteers’ Week.
However, Volunteer Centre Lewisham believes that we need to acknowledge the time, skills and commitment that organisations, community groups and clubs give to supporting and managing volunteers in the borough.
It is with this in mind that we have decided that at this years AGM we would like to present awards to a few Lewisham groups who have demonstrated excellence in welcoming, training and supporting volunteers. The winning organisation in each category will receive a trophy and a framed certificate outlining their award.
Categories are:
- Voluntary and community organisation (e.g. charity community club)
- Public sector group (e.g. hospital, local authority, met police, PCT)
- Sports club
If you would like to nominate them for an award please complete the nomination form and return it to us no later than August 25th 2008. to Volunteer Centre Lewisham, 2nd Floor Showroom, HE Olby, 307-313 Lewisham High Street, London SE13 6NW.
